Meet the Modern Maker!
First Friday February promises to be extra special as we welcome Modern Maker, Mathew Gnagy!
We were delighted to meet Mathew during Sheep and Wool Weekend…
The typical chat of ‘tell me about what you’re wearing’ quickly escalated into ‘tell us more! tell us more!’ and before you know it Mathew had a rapt audience in the knitting room! We knew there would be more to hear and more who would love to hear it, so we were thrilled when Mathew accepted our invitation to regale us with more of his tales on First Friday February.
Mathew Gnagy is a professional costumer, designer, and former teacher at Parsons University of Fashion Design in New York City. He’s done extensive research in patterning and constructing 16th and 17th century style clothing as well as applying it to creating distinctive knitting patterns for modern knitted garments. Learn more about Mathew at his website. (click here)
He will also be bringing his trunk and hot off the press book, Knitting with the Modern Maker.
We hope you can join us for a inspiring evening with this Modern Maker!
