We look forward to welcoming Sandi Young and her stunning Buckeye Farm fibers for a day of show and tell!
Her beautiful handiwork will also be available for purchase…
A little background from Sandi:
For 30 years Sandi owned Buckeye Farm in the Sierra Foothills of California,
raising champion Angora goats, Maremma guardian dogs and rare Spanish Colonial horses. She has now retired from ranching and has returned to her beloved Catskills. Her goats have a new home and she has more time to play with their delicious fiber.
Sandi has been a fiber artist for over 50 years, now using the mohair her goats produce as well as other natural fibers to create these handmade yarns.
Her work is inspired by the colors, forms and textures in her surroundings and by the twisted sense of humor of her beloved goats.
“I especially love that I can be involved in the creative process from the very beginning: raising the goats to finished garment.”
