Now, we are thrilled to offer this knitting workshop with Carrom Vest Designer Mary Anne Benedetto. (far right in photo ;) (@aprioroknits on Ravelry)
Join us Friday, March 1 from 2-5 pm as Mary Anne presents to you the best tips and tricks for creating your own Carrom Vest.
In this class you will learn You’ll also gain confidence in determining the right fit, reading charts, cabling without a cable needle, seaming with mattress stitch and insight into the design process.
Prior to class you will have created a swatch to the correct gauge. At the completion of class, you will have completed the ribbing and have the patterns established across the front of the vest.
Mary Anne will also have on hand have additional garments she’s designed for a little show and tell.
Unique skills/techniques to be learned in class:
ribbed cable cast on
cable w/o needle
chart reading
'new stitch'
Seaming with mattress st.
pre- requisites: knit, purl, basic chart reading, some cable experience
During the 3 hour class:
Cast on
Complete ribbing
Complete 1st repeat of chart pattern
Seating is limited and there is homework! which will be assigned upon registration…
